What is Second Opinion?
Second Opinion is an online panel giving you the opportunity to share your medical knowledge, experience and views across all aspects of the medial and caring professions. Talking about your experiences will help shape the future of healthcare, treatments and improve care services.
There is no obligation to take part in research activities - you can take part in as many or as few as you would like. Incentives to participate will be provided (the rules and what is on offer will be detailed in each activity invite).
What are the incentives?
To become eligible to receive a reward, you will need to complete an activity, which is usually in the form of an survey or questionnaire. For each activity, you will receive an invitation which will inform you of the potential reward and the requirements needed to qualify. Potentia Insight ensure they are providing quality data to their clients, therefore survey data is reviewed and quality verified.
Rewards will be administered by Potentia Insight, using Ayda. Upon receiving your first reward, you'll be sent a link and required to create an account with Ayda to be able to claim the reward. Who can join Second Opinion?
Second Opinion is open to any medical professional or caregiver in the United Kingdom.
How do I become a member of Second Opinion?
You can sign up to Second Opinion by clicking the “Register Today” button in the right-hand column, the button on the home page or you may have received a direct link to take you through to our sign-up survey.
The first step will be completing a short survey asking for some initial details so that we can get to know you better and to ensure we are sending you the most relevant activities.
After completing the sign-up survey, you’ll receive a confirmation email to complete your registration then you will be all set to give us your opinions.
How do I update my details?
Once you are a member, you will be able to update details in the Profile area once you have logged in. Periodically we will also send around profile update surveys to find out about your latest interests.

Potentia Insight is a Market Research Society Company Partner, and as such, all market research is carried out in a manner fully compliant with the Market Research Society’s Code of Conduct. Potentia Insight is also a Corporate Certified Non-Member of the BHBIA, the British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association.
As a market research company, it is necessary for us to collect personal data. There are two main reasons for this:
1. To maintain a database of people interested in participating in paid market research projects so that we can speedily respond to clients’ requests
2. To ensure that we will only ever contact you with information about opportunities which are suitable for you. We ensure this by asking for specific personal data which is used as standard in market research for identifying suitable research participants.
How do I take part?
When a new survey is ready for you, we will send an invite by email and/or SMS to let you know, with a link to the survey and the relevant details - when the closing date is, how long the survey will take and what the incentive will be for taking part. We however won’t typically tell you exactly what the survey topic will be in the invite.
Surveys are typically available between 3 and 10 days from receiving the invite.
All surveys you are invited to but have not yet completed are also available in the Surveys area once you are logged in.
Although we have your information from the sign-up process, not all surveys will be relevant for all members and we need to make sure we are getting opinions from a range of respondents so in some cases you won’t be able to fully complete a survey and this will typically happen in the first few questions.
How often do I have to take part?
You can take part in as many or as few of the surveys we invite you to as you would like. The more surveys you take, the more opportunities you will have to earn incentives.
What if I forget my password?
If you cannot remember your password, simply click on the “Reset password” button in the right hand column.
How long will I remain on Second Opinion?
Once you are signed up, you can choose to stay on Second Opinion for as long as you like.
How do I leave Second Opinion?
If you want to leave Second Opinion, you can use the Unsubscribe function in the Profile area, the link on the bottom of all our e-mail communication or you can contact us at hello@second-opinion-panel.co.uk.
